ABOUT AfricaSIF.org MEMBERS

AfricaSIF.org is designed to be a network of people active in African investment, offering a window and a mirror to the opportunities and barriers to sustainable investment today. AfricaSIF.org members may be individuals or institutions active along the investment value chain from pension fund to investment analyst, from project financier to green investor, from philanthropy advisor to policy maker. AfricaSIF.org is designed to be a forum for knowledge-sharing, data gathering, analysis and advocating the importance of integrating environmental, social and governance factors in investment in Africa.

INSTITUTIONS

Institutions have a powerful role to play. AfricaSIF.org welcomes the support of institutions that embrace investment in Africa and apply environmental, social and governance factors to their role. Types of institutions that qualify include: pension funds, investment managers, investment ratings agencies, think-tanks, universities, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, international financing institutions, foreign direct investors, stock exchanges, venture capitalists and private equity firms.

INDIVIDUALS

Individuals are the key to moving forward any new initiative. Irrespective of where and with whom one works, each person carries within them the ability to add to the network, knowledgebase and advocacy for sustainable investment in Africa. People working in roles that qualify include: individual investors, pensioners, high-net-worth investors, analysts, investment fiduciaries, academics, and pension fund trustees.
